   The mission of the Association is to financially support the activities of the  Fairfax County CERT in leading our community in preparedness and an ability to respond to emergencies of all kinds by empowering every individual through education, training, response, and volunteer service. They devote their volunteer time to support the many and diverse communities of the county by advancing resident preparedness, our ability to respond effectively, thereby helping everyone recover from unexpected emergencies .

How to Support

Canteen Vehicle to Support First Responders

A Canteen is a vehicle that provides much needed hydration and nutrition to the emergency personnel on the scene of major incidents and investigations. In Fairfax County there are now four departments operating canteen vehicles, three volunteer fire departments, and the Fairfax County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). CERT is a volunteer organization whose mission is to help residents prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters of all types.

The Fairfax CERT Association is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Donations are 100% deductible! Contributions enable our CERT to meet the mission of Sustaining, Educating, and Training the people of Fairfax County, and supporting our responders in Volunteer Service. Any graduate of the CERT Basic Training courses may join this Member-based Association. Membership is only $20 per annual Membership.
